My plans for 2018

I’m going to write down a detailed plan later (that is, after NaNo), but this week I’ve started to visualize what my goals will be for next year. My current project is to finish the first draft of the second book in my pirate trilogy, which I hope I can be done with before January. I have more than 2/3 left so it will be tough, but I don’t like working on a first draft for too long. I need to trick myself into believing that it’s not that big a project, or I’ll just be overwhelmed by it.

After I’m done with the first draft, I’ll go back to revising the first book in the series. There’s not too much left to do before I can take the next step. I want to publish the first book next year, and revise the second one, and also get the first draft done for the third and final part. There’s so much wishful thinking going on here but a girl can dream, right?

I also need to focus a lot on marketing next year. There’s so much that I need to learn. I have a feeling that 2018 is going to be interesting!
