This is even harder than the one from yesterday! But oh, well. I have been touching on this recently, the fact that my “main villain” is sort of half villain, half… not? Captain Hart, the pirate who steals Chris away and steals his heart just as easily (pardon my cheesiness), is a feared and cruel man on one hand, but on the other he’s fragile, unstable, and haunted by the past. This darker, weaker side of him is hidden to all except for Chris, who is forced to see more and more of the Captain’s bad sides.

I can’t really tell you anything else because I don’t want to risk any spoilers, but let’s just say he’s tons of fun to write and my very, very problematic fave. 😉
